Team PokerStars Pro Jonathan Duhamel starred in the latest episode of the Poker After Dark game show which aired on NBC on Saturday evening.
Duhamel ended the session in the black by more than six figures after showing glimpses of the form which catapulted him to stardom in the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event five months ago.
Fellow Team PokerStars Pros Barry Greenstein and Jason Mercier also featured at the elite table alongside the likes of Phil Laak, Mike Baxter and Bill Perkins.
Laak proclaimed, “That’s how they win $9 million, kids,” after Duhamel rivered trips against Julian Movsesian during the early exchanges.
Movsesian slow played his turned top pair, top kicker and was left to rue that decision as Duhamel hit his gin card to take down the pot.
Movsesian was also forced to muck his cards when Mercier turned two pair. Movsesian had raised from under the gun with A-7 and hit top pair on the flop.
However, Mercier’s second pair improved when he turned a King and he called down bets of $8,500 and $20,000 to drag down the pot.
Duhamel was involved in the last notable hand of the evening after meeting Baxter’s pre flop raise to $4,500.
Baxter flopped a set of fours but Duhamel had nine outs to the flush draw with Ac-5c suited hole cards on a 4c-Qc-7h board.
Duhamel called Baxter’s $11,000 continuation bet and he led out for $17,600 after hitting his flush on the turn.
Baxter completed and called down another $33,500 bet on the river before mucking his hand.
Duhamel ended the session with profits of $110,300. Mercier (+$45,600) and Haralabos Voulgaris (+28,500) and rounded out the top three.
