The manuscript for our next book, Harrington on Modern Tournament Poker; How to Play No-Limit Hold ‘em Multi-Table Tournaments by Dan Harrington and Bill Robertie is now finished and has been sent to our index builder. As soon as we get the index, the next stop is printing. This means that we’re ahead of schedule and should have no trouble meeting our announced publication date of May 30, 2014. So, watch the website for prepublication announcements as to when and how it can be purchased.
Also, this issue of our Two Plus Two Magazine contains an excerpt out of Harrington on Modern Tournament Poker for those of you interested in knowing more about the book. This excerpt is a little longer than what we usually run to help make sure that everyone who has an interest will better understand exactly what this book is about. We’ll also be running a couple of more excerpts in future issues of our magazine.
On a different topic, Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has now introduced a bill in Congress that if passed would essentially make Internet poker illegal throughout the United States. To put it mildly, this would not be something we would be in favor of. The bill has also been endorsed by California Senator Diane Feinstein, so we now know for certain that she is not our friend either.
It also just happens to be that Senator Graham is up for reelection this year and it appears that he has a tough primary and probable runoff to get through with at least four challengers. Perhaps 2+2 can make it a little bit tougher on him. At this moment, we don’t know much about how Graham’s challengers feel about Internet poker, but over the next few days we hope to find out. 2+2 will be consulting with Rich Muny and the PPA to see if there are any candidates in this field who would be much better than Senator Graham and whether we can lend them any support.
In the meantime, we ask that those of you are interested in this race, and now because of this ban Internet poker bill, virtually all of our posters and readers should be, to speak out as much as you can. Of course, this goes double (or more) for those of you who live in the state of South Carolina. Also, watch the forums as we’ll be posting more information as it becomes known to us.
