Poker pro, Sorel ‘Imper1um’ Mizzi, has had his lifetime ban on Full Tilt Poker lifted.
The 24 year-old grinded at the tournament tables on the poker site for several years, prior to his involvement in a scandal in 2007.
Mizzi took over from his friend, Chris ‘BluffMagCV’ Vaughn, in the $1,000,000 Guaranteed event that year.
The Titan poker pro bought Vaughn’s account when only three tables remained. Mizzi then played down to the wire, besting the remaining 26 players for a six figure pay day.
The Canadian was banned soon after, and has not appeared on the site since late 2007.
However, he appeared at the tournament tables on Thursday evening. Mizzi bought into the FTOPS XIX $330 Rebuy event, running deep for a 24th place finish.
He later revealed that he he had ‘won a ton in prop bets’ with his fellow pros who had bet against the tournament specialist, posting an impressive score on his return.
Sorel Mizzi is one of the finest young players in the world, having taken down over $3.5 million during his short career.
The Toronto native cashed at numerous PokerStars sponsored events last year, including the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and the PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague.
He has reserved his best form for the Aussie Millions, recording back to back final tables and earning over $600,000 in prize money.
