Patrik Antonius continued his superb form on the virtual felt over the weekend after taking down almost $450,000 in various high stakes games.
The Finn, who also prospered on Day 1 of the 2011 Aussie Millions Main Event on Saturday, dominated during $2,000/$4,000 Omaha-8 exchanges with ‘NEKOTYAN’.
Antonius took ‘NEKOTYAN’, who many believe to be Russian pro Vladimir Schmelev, to the cleaners for $498,000 during a 358 hand session.
The 30 year-old is now in the black by more than $835,000 during 2011, placing him third on the overall leader board for the calendar year.
Di ‘Urindanger’ Dang tops that list. Dang added Gus Hansen to his list of victims this month after winning $174,000 against the ‘Great Dane’ during $500/$1,000 Cap PLO exchanges. Dang is now on an upswing of $936,000 for the year.
‘Kagome Kagome’ (formerly ‘IHateJuice’), who has struggled during sessions against Antonius recently, avoided the Finn this time around as he posted profits of $185,000.
Scott ‘URnotINdanger2′ Palmer (+$103,000), ‘Also11′ (+$131,000) and ‘davin77′ (+$83,000) also prospered at the nosebleed stakes.
‘NEKOTYAN’ was the biggest loser following his huge losses against Antonius. Phil Ivey continues to struggle after dropping $182,000 on Sunday.
The player many consider to be the finest on the planet is now in the red by more than $550,000 for 2011. Ivey has never recorded an overall deficit for a year in online poker.
Ilari ‘Ziigmund’ Sahamies (-$134,000), ‘RealAndyBeal’ (-$182,000) and ‘harrington25′ (-$134,000) rounded out the top five losers.
