City of Dreams
This casino can be found in Macau on the Cotai Strip. It was built in 2009 and cost $2.1 billion to construct. The 420,000 square foot gaming floor contains 1,500 gambling machines and 550 gaming tables while the hotel has a choice of 2,200 suites.
The Venetian
Costing $2.4 billion to build The Venetian first opened in 1999 and is also located in Macau. It’s part of the world’s biggest five-star hotel and contains the largest gaming floor on earth at 550,000 square feet with 3,400 slot machines and 800 gaming tables.
Wynn
Located in Las Vegas, Wynn cost $2.7 billion to build. Each suite cost $1 million and the hotel contains 2,359 of them. The casino floor itself is 111,000 square feet and contains 1,960 slot machines and 137 table games.
Resort World
This Singapore based casino opened its doors in 2010 and cost $4.93 billion. Located in Sentosa, visitors can pick from 6 hotels at Resort World comprising of over 1,800 suites. The casino itself is a massive 161,500 square feet.
Marina Bay Sands
The most expensive casino to be built to date is the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Costing a whopping $5.5 billion, it consists of 2,500 suites and a SkyPark which is big enough to fit four A380 jumbo jets in. When built, Sheldon Adelson, Sands CEO, said, “Nearly four years ago, we embarked on a journey we believed would define the future of our company and at the same time change the face of tourism in Singapore and the South Asian region for decades to come.”
