Online phenomenon Mickey ‘mement_mori’ Petersen has become the latest player to join Team PokerStars Online. The Dane has established himself as one of the most talented multi-table tournament specialists having won over $4 million on the virtual felt.
Petersen reiterated his desire to extend that dominance to the live arena and spoke of his excitement at representing the world’s largest online poker site, in a statement released on Monday. “I see signing with world’s largest online site as the next logical step in my career and hopefully I’ll be able to build on my resume live as well as online and promote both PokerStars and the game in a positive light.”
Petersen’s best career score in live tournaments came last year when he finished 4th in the PokerStars European Poker Tour Monte Carlo event. Petersen, who earned over $100,000 for that deep run, has taken down $233,516 during his short career.
However, those achievements pale in comparison to his online record where he has won over $500,000 in PokerStars Spring Championship of Online events and finished third in the Sunday Warm-Up. That success led him to becoming a CardRunners coach and the youngster remains one of the most active grinders in the game.
Petersen joins a Team Online roster which includes recent triple PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker bracelet winner, Anders ‘Donald’ Berg, high stakes cash game regular Randy Lew, Shane Schleger, Dale Philip and Andrew Brokos.
