Nicknamed ‘Lady Maverick’, Vanessa Rousso is a dual citizen of the USA and France. Since she won her first tournament in 2005, Rousso has cashed 42 times, and won six tournaments. Currently, Rousso is combining her poker career with studying for a law degree.

Annette Obrestad is a Norwegian poker professional, who has earned over $3 million at the poker table, despite not quite being 21 years of age. Obrestad’s incredible rise through the women’s poker ranks has been courtesy of three tournament wins, including one in the WSOP and 27 cashes.

American poker pro Vanessa Selbst is a resident of Brooklyn, NY and has won seven tournaments. Selbst is one of the few women poker players to have won an ‘open’ event at the WSOP, winning the 2008 $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha.

The top poker playing woman of all time is Kathy Liebert, who has won almost $5.5 million at the tables. Similarly to Vanessa Selbst, Liebert has won an ‘open’ event at the WSOP, taking home the bracelet, and $110,180 from the $1,500 Hold ‘em shootout event in 2004.
