The World Poker Tour has added a new stop to its Season X schedule – the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. The Lucky Hearts Poker Open will run from February 10 through 14, 2012, and features a $3,500 buy-in Main Event.
The tournament, which will include a re-entry option on Day 1B, will be a nontelevised event, but will still feature the innovative and popular live streaming broadcast with Tony Dunst and a yet-to-be-named guest handling the commentating duties. In addition, the WPT family will be in attendance including Mike Sexton and the Royal Flush Girls.
The WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open comes two months before the WPT will return to Hollywood, Florida, for the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, a televised event running from April 18 through 23, 2012.
That means the WPT will host four Main Events in the state of Florida, which comes as no surprise after last year’s inaugural Seminole Showdown, the first WPT to ever be held in the state, was a tremendous success. If you recall, Taylor Von Kriegenbergh won that event after defeating a field of 433 players to capture the $1,122,340 first-place prize.
Here is a look at the upcoming 2012 WPT schedule:
