We have finally received the manuscript for our next book, Harrington on Modern Tournament Poker; How to Play No-Limit Hold ‘em Multi-Table Tournaments by Dan Harrington and Bill Robertie. I can say that it will be the largest book Two Plus Two has ever published. Because of this, we don’t yet have an estimate on a good publication date. Next month I should have more information to share.
Next, I want to mention that the documentary UltimateBeat – too much to lose, by Scott Bell (Eleven Grover on 2+2) is now available at the above link. For those who don’t know, it’s about the Internet poker site Ultimate Bet and the problems that occurred there. It’s not a 2+2 project, but we feel this is an important work and that many of you will want to see it. In addition, there is a lengthy thread in our News, Views, and Gossip Forum discussing the documentary.
There’s also some more good news. Delaware Internet poker is supposed to go live at the beginning of November. Since I’m writing this before it happens, there’s not much else to add. Hopefully, by the time most of you see this Publisher’s Note, there will be two states, Nevada and Delaware, with Internet poker instead of just one. Hopefully, New Jersey will be coming on soon as well. See Rich Muny’s “PPA November Update” article for more information.
Finally, I want to announce that Two Plus Two Publishing LLC has donated the latest version of our book the Fundamentals of Poker, written by myself and Lynne Loomis, to the PPA and they are providing all new, renewing, and current dues paying members with a downloadable PPA edition. That means it’s free. I also hope they’re able to provide it to a few of our government officials who have something to say about our poker laws so they’ll have a better idea as to what poker is about.
