Mike Sexton Looks Forward to Season X

Speaking on the PartyPoker Blog, PartyPoker ambassador Mike Sexton is looking forward to the upcoming WPT season. He is taking all the Royal Flush girls with him, and the tour will be televising several European events back in the US.

“We’re going back to Paris and are televising our WPT event in Vienna in the U.S. as well. The entire entourage including myself, Vince Van Patten, anchor Kimberly Lansing, Tony Dundst, the Royal Flush girls and the crew will be going overseas.The WPT had an impressive 35% increase in viewers in Season IX, and I look for things to be even better in Season X. The WPT is an expanding brand and growing globally with numerous non-televised WPT events scheduled in the U.S. as well as Europe.”

The PokerNetwork League

Catering to players in the Eastern Hemisphere, the PokerNetwork League features both an engaging format and a ton of added value prizes. It begins with weekly league events for eight weeks in a variety of poker formats. Score More Points

This league is quite unique in that there are some novel ways to score points. Anyone who makes the final table will score anywhere from 1 to 10 points, but will also score an additional point for every tournament played.

Also, every player can choose one of the final four tournaments (between Aug. 31 and Sept. 21) to be declared a Wild Card Tournament, which will score a player double league points. You need to declare your wild card tournament before it starts in the dedicated forum thread over at PokerNetwork.

About the Sunday Cubed

The winner of each league event will also win a ticket to play in the $50,000 Guaranteed Sunday Cubed, which takes place every Sunday at 0500 ET. A cubed tournament is one that has one rebuy and one add-on – three potential buy-ins in total. It is a very popular format, because it bridges the gap between a traditional freeze out and the all-action frenzy of a rebuy tournament.

About ANZPT Darwin

The third season of the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour is scheduled to make its third stop at SKYCITY Casino in Darwin, Australia, from Oct. 4 through 8. The buy-in and prize pool are yet to be announced but last time around Danny Leaoasavaii took down this event for AUD $57,000. You could be going for free if you take down the PokerNetwork League final on Sept. 28.

This promotion is open to all PokerStars players, no matter where they signed up.
