Martin Jacobson of Lidingo, Sweden has earned a tidy $2.6 million from poker, and this fresh faced star has only been playing since 2008. Jacobson’s biggest payday came in January 2011, when he came second in an EPT event, earning just over $800,000.
4. Erik Friberg – Career Earnings of $2,664,710
Only marginally ahead of Jacobson is 23 year old Erik Friberg. This player has managed 11 cashes, and one first place, winning 2007′s Swedish Open.
3. Michael Tureniec – Career Earnings of $2,791,682
Solna citizen Michael Tureniec has racked up $2.1 million in poker play, with three first place finishes to his name. Tureniec’s most lucrative win was at the EPT event in Copenhagen this year, where he scooped $713,184.
2. Johan Storakers – Career Earnings of $2,793,315
The second most successful Swede is the marvelously named Johan Storakers. Hailing from Stockholm, Storakers has been playing poker since the late 80s, and has cashed 74 times, with 6 tournament wins under his belt. Storaker’s biggest win was $486,000 for coming second in the Aruba Classic 2008.

Sweden’s top poker earner is Martin de Knijff, who has earned over $3.3 million at the poker table. Named after his father, de Knijff has only one tournament win to his name, but it earned him a monster $2.7 million, when he won the 2004 WPT Main Event at the Five-Star World Poker Classic.

5. Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott – Career Earnings of $5,722,619
The UK’s most successful poker player of all time is also the fifth most successful David. Dave Ulliott has amongst his accolades 22 first place finishes and one WSOP bracelet.
4. David Benyamine – Career Earnings of $5,990,003
Resident of Las Vegas, David Benyamine’s career has taken him to within touching distance of $6 million dollars. Benyamine’s biggest ever win came in the Aussie Millions in January 2011, where a third place finish won him just over $1.1 million.

David Chiu has racked up 94 cashes in his poker playing career so far, with eight first place finishes. Chiu has been particularly successful at the WSOP, winning four bracelets through the years. A cool $3.3 million jackpot has been David Chiu’s biggest prize pot so far, coming in a WPT event in 2008.

Coming to the poker table via the curious route of Magic: The Gathering card games, David Williams has built up his millions in quick time, considering he only began playing seriously in 1997. Williams’ largest payday came with a second place finish in the WSOP main event in 2004, receiving a tasty $3.5 million for his efforts.
