The poker excitement continues on the screens around Europe this week as the spring season hits full tilt. German television is leading the way with a week-long programming of the High Stakes Season 6 poker program. This will be aired each morning at 6.00am and repeated an hour later at 7.00am on the Sport 1 channel. There is also an episode of Das PokerStars on Program 7, featuring the best card play from current and past PokerStars tournaments, hosted by Sophia Thornalla on April 20th between 12.10am and 1.05am.
UK and Ireland poker fans should tune into Channel 4 where they can catch the latest installment from the European Poker Tour on Tuesday at 12.45am. Then on Wednesday at the same time Channel 4 will be showing the latest in the PokerStars UKIPT Gallway tournament held earlier in the year as part of the UKIPT.
Wednesday on Channel 5 will give you the opportunity to see the Aussie Millions from Melbourne’s Crown Casino. This premier Australian competition will be shown between 11.55pm and 12.55am. All the big action poker thrills from down under.
As always the most widely available poker channel in Europe is the PokerChannelEurope providing coverage of the best tournaments and most exciting poker shows. On Friday you can tune in across the continent to watch Season 2 of the European Cash Game at 9.00pm or and hour later in the evening there is the excellent Poker After Dark with cards and chat from international professionals in the winner takes all competition.

This week there is a full program of exciting, tense and surprising poker shows on across Europe. German television has a whole evening of poker lined up each weeknight from Tuesday on Sport 1. The iconic show Poker After Dark will be shown at 06.00, 07.00 and again at 17.30. There will be a Director’s Cut showing the parts that were missed from the original programs and the line ups will feature plenty of poker players on TV including the likes of Patrik Antonius, Daniel Negreanu and John Juanda.
On Monday 28th March, German Channel Arte will show a documentary called “That’s Poker” which covers the WSOP in Las Vegas and all the excitement and action that goes along with poker players in the world’s biggest live tournament. The show follows the likes of Luca Pagano, Isabelle “No Mercy” Mercier and World Champion, Joe Hatchem.
In the UK, Channel 4 continues their excellent provision of poker programming for poker fans with the coverage of the PokerStars European Poker Tour from Barcelona. The episode starts at 00.50 on Tuesday March 22nd and features Bertrand Grospellier, Noah Boeken and the British Poker star Liv Boeree.
The CNBC Poker show will be covering highlights from the high stakes tournaments in the Bellagio, Las Vegas and the Bicycle Poker Room in LA. All the nosebleed fun starts at 02.00 on the March 26th.
Poland’s Sport Klub channel has plenty of poker coverage with episodes from Face the Pro and on Tuesday at 04.25 you can follow the Full Tilt Aussie Millions tournament in Melbourne from the start of the year.
