UK poker pro Roy ‘The Boy’ Brindley has joined online poker site Victor Chandler’s team of professionals.
The 41 year-old, who currently resides in Ireland, has earned over $500,000 during his live tournament career.
Brindley first made his mark on the scene in 2002 when he won the Great Britain Hold’em Championships Pot Limit Hold’em and Omaha event for a $13,123 pay day.
He would go on to win another five ranking tournaments during that year before establishing himself as one of Europe’s finest players over the intervening years.
His most recent victory came at the Irish Open Championship where he bested an experienced field to take down the No Limit Hold’em Main Event for a $12,911 jackpot.
Brindley will now appear at the European Masters of Poker and other elite live events later this year representing Victor Chandler.
Victor Chandler Head of Poker Andy Horne spoke of his excitement at the news of Brindley joining the site as its new Team Captain.
“We are very happy to have Roy ‘The Boy’ captaining Team VC at EMOP and we are sure that his presence at the live events will have a positive effect on the performance of the Team VC players.”
The EMOP kicks off in Lisbon later this month. The four day event will play out at the Casino Estoril between March 23-26.
