Online poker pro Jacob ‘bazeman’ Bazeley completed an incredible feat last week after taking down two major tournaments and a posting a runners up finish on the virtual felt.
Bazeley triumphed in the PokerStars $215 No Limit Hold’em Turbo for a $15,876 before going all the way in the Full Tilt Poker Cubed for a $17,394 first prize.
The Cincinnati, Ohio native then ran deep in the PokerStars $162 Nightly Hundred Grand. He could not quite put the finishing touches on an unprecedented treble as he lost out in heads up play,
He still took home an impressive $17,940 share as he boosted his bankroll by over $50,000 in less than 24 hours on January 3.
Bazeley has an excellent resume in online poker tournaments, earning almost $2.5 million during his career.
The young sensation started grinding at cash games online in 2006 before becoming a tournament specialist soon after.
Jacob Bazeley admitted his hot run of form came out of the blue after struggling to make an impact during the latter stages of 2010.
“After the World Series of Poker, I went on the biggest downer ever. I was losing the majority of my bankroll backing and not winning anything substantial myself online or live.”
His incredible winning day has brightened his outlook for the calendar year and he has promised to steer clear of the world of poker backing which he believes had a detrimental effect on his game.
