Each week we will be handpicking our favorite four videos from around the hallways of the 43rd Annual World Series of Poker.
Being that it’s just the first week, not everyone has made it into town yet. If you’re still planning your trip to Sin City, or if you’ve never been and find yourself wondering how exactly the Rio is laid out for the “poker event of the year,” then check out Kristy Arnett and Sarah Grant’s guided tour.
Before the WSOP kicked off, Shaun Deeb was a name on many people’s lips, tweets and thread posts when he accumulated some outstanding PokerStars SCOOP results. A new segment we’ve started on PokerNews is “Explain This,” where players explain various pictures or articles we find after trolling through their Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, etc. Without a doubt, Shaun Deeb was a perfect candidate.
She is super hot, and she’s off to an excellent year in poker, so why wouldn’t Kristy Arnett call the clock on Xuan Liu?
On Friday, myself and Kristy Arnett joined together on the secondary feature table on the stage of the Pavillion at the Rio to bring you all the highlights that came out of the first week of the WSOP. You can check that out in the PokerNews Weekly. Fellas, be sure to wait for the little “gift” at the end.

Betfair Poker Live Heads to London
Betfair Poker Live London, taking place from Feb. 17 to Feb. 19, is set to be one of the most exciting events to kick off 2012. Not only will the event feature a big prize pool, but there will be an array of side events and cash-game action throughout the tournament period, so you really shouldn’t miss it!
Players can buy-in directly for $600+$50, but we encourage you to take to the felt at Betfair Poker and try to win a seat for a fraction of the cost. Many qualifiers and satellites will be running leading up to the event, so be sure to try and lock up a tournament package.
Betfair Poker is also offering players a little extra incentive to play in the Betfair Poker Live London event. Any player who has a real money Betfair Poker account and has funds in the account before the start of Day 1 and then goes on to win the event, will be awarded with a $1,400 tournament package to the next Betfair Live event! In addition, the player who finishes on the bubble will be awarded a free $120 satellite ticket for an online Betfair Live satellite final.
The last Betfair Live London event was held earlier this year, and 171 hopefuls took to the felt and battled it out for a share of the £39,000 prize pool. Arttu Pitkakangas from Finland ended up being too good for his opponents, taking down the top prize after two grueling days of intense poker action.
The event is set to be bigger than ever in 2012, so be sure to head to Betfair Poker and begin planning your trip to London and start your year with a bang!
