The inaugural PokerStars Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) came to a close Sunday with the last six events on the slate, two of which generated seven-figure prize pools. The $700 Main Event attracted 3,667 players to create a prize pool of more than $2.4 million, and the $2,100 High Roller event saw 814 players generate a prize pool of more than $1.6 million. David “betudontbet” Emmons was the biggest earner after defeating Chris “ImDaNuts” Oliver heads-up in the Main Event for nearly $383,000. Isaac “philivey2694″ Haxton and António “apalma2156″ Palma also won majors on Sunday.

The first TCOOP Main Event was a massive success as the $1.5 million guarantee was smashed by nearly $1 million. Chris “ImDaNuts” Oliver, one of the most feared online tournament players in the world, joined David “Betudontbet” Emmons and seven others at the final table after just four and a half hours of play.
Emmons held a sizable lead going into the final table and used his stack to have his way at the final table. After a couple of discussions about a deal fell through, Emmons went on to defeat Oliver heads up for the title and $382,855. On the final hand of the tournament, Emmons moved all-in from the button with

. The board gave Emmons a pair of aces, sending Oliver to the rail with $285,311 for second place.

Denmark’s “AlexKP” fell just short of his second TCOOP title of the series with a second-place finish in the $2,100 TCOOP High Roller. “AlexKP” took the biggest share of a four-way chop at the final table, collecting nearly $240,000, but Norway’s “Icallany” won the heads-up duel to earn the distinction as the first TCOOP High Roller champ.
