#5 – Sam Trickett
This young man from Nottingham once had dreams of becoming a professional soccer player but a knee injury put paid to that. He discovered his outstanding talents at poker whilst recovering, aged just 17. His huge win at the Aussie Millions in January simply confirms his ever growing ability; he’s now amassed $2,918,735 in poker winnings.
#4 – John Duthie
Just a little ahead of Sam Trickett with total poker winnings of $2,918,735 is successful TV director John Duthie. Let me get this right: he not only shines as a director, making shows like The Young Indian Jones Chronicles, but he also dazzles at poker, too. Oh, and he founded the European Poker Tour in his spare time.
#3 – Chris Bjorin
OK, with a name like Bjorin you just know this guy had to have come from Sweden. But he now regards London as his home, so we’re classing him as a Brit. The quiet man of poker has been a success throughout his long career, and now has total winnings of $4,353,839. And that’s not to mention his 2 WSOP bracelets.
#2 – Roland de Wolfe
A former writer for the poker magazine Inside Edge, Roland spectacularly won the Major Grand Prix de Paris event of the 2005 World Poker Tour and has been making hefty cashes ever since. He has 1 WSOP bracelet and his poker fortune now stands at $4,716,185
#1 – Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott
Soaring into first place, though, is the “Devilfish” from Hull, who overcame a tough and poverty-stricken start in life with his breathtaking poker skills to become a multi-millionaire pro. His total winnings now stand at $5,643,366 and he’s still going strong.
