24th Annual World Series of Poker
In 1993, the 24th Annual World Series of Poker No Limit Hold’em Main Event had a total prize pool of $2,308,000. There were 231 players who posted the $10,000 buy-in. In the end, Jim Bechtel would take the top prize of $1,000,000, earning his first and only WSOP Gold Bracelet.
25th Annual World Series of Poker
The 25th Annual World Series of Poker played in 1994. The No Limit Hold’em Main Event had 268 runners vying for a piece of the $2,680,000 prize pool. Russ Hamilton finished on top, earning the $1,000,000 first place prize.
26th Annual World Series of Poker
Dan Harrington took down the No Limit Hold’em Main Event in 1995. Harrington added a second WSOP Gold Bracelet to his collection. Harrington earned his first WSOP Gold Bracelet in the $2,500 No Limit Hold’em earlier in the 1995 WSOP.
28th Annual World Series of Poker
Stu Ungar wins his fifth WSOP Gold Bracelet in the No Limit Hold’em Main Event in 1997. Ungar bested 311 runners to finish on top, cashing for $1,000,000.
29th Annual World Series of Poker
The No Limit Hold’em Main Event had 350 entrants and a total prize pool of $3,500,000. Outlasting the rest was Scotty Nguyen. Nguyen was awarded the $1,000,000 first place prize and his second WSOP Gold Bracelet.
