Pokerfest II Online Kicks Off April 22

PartyPoker have announced that the popular Pokerfest will make a return to the virtual felt and will be bigger and better than every before! Pokerfest II Online will boast no fewer than 47 events, combined prize pools of at least $3,500,000 and a $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event!

Along with the 47 tournaments there will be multiple side events taking place between Apr.22-May 6 meaning PartyPoker is the place to be when it comes to tournament poker.

Pokerfest II Online gets underway at 13:30 ET on Sunday 22 April with the first of four events scheduled for that day; the $214 buy-in $350,000 guaranteed No Limit Hold’em event. Half hour later there is a $2,500 guaranteed No Limit Hold’em event that costs just 20 PartyPoints to enter then at 14:30 there is a $22 buy-in No Limit Hold’em event with a $35,000 guaranteed prize pool. Rounding off the day’s action is a $530 event that will see at least $250,000 in prize money be won.

Other highlights include a $99 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha event with a $75,000 guarantee, a second $350,000 guaranteed tournament with a $215 buy-in that you can win a seat to for as little as $2.50 and of course the grand finale, the $640 buy-in $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event on Sunday 6 May.

Daily Dollar Side Events

Every day during the Pokerfest II there will be two tournaments, each with a $1 buy-in, running at 13:45 and 16:00 ET that have “a twist.” The reason for the inverted commas is the fact nobody knows what these twists will be and they will only be revealed in the lobby at the last minute! Bad Beat Jackpot Hit! $90,000 Paid Out To grujo_grujo!

A couple of weeks ago a player with the alias grujo_grujo was playing cash games on PartyPoker and got $100 into the middle of the felt holding what he thought was a lock, four-of-kind jacks. However, his opponent was sat there with the extremely unlikely quad kings to crush him. Disappointed with his bad luck grujo_grujo simply reloaded and kept on grinding; that was until his checked his PartyPoker balance.

When he looked at his balance he discovered that there was an extra $90,000 showing and it was then and only then that he realised he had triggered the bad beat jackpot with the quads-over-quads hand!
