On Wednesday, Full Tilt Poker announced that it will relaunch the Black Card loyalty program and is offering incentives for VIPs at other sites to transfer their status to Full Tilt. Black Card members will be able to convert all earned Full Tilt Points to cash instantly at full value, with no earn-off bonus or no play-through requirements. At maximum value, this can equate to up to 40% instant cash every week.
Black Card members will also have an opportunity to opt into the first-ever results-based sponsorship program, which was “designed by poker players, for poker players.”
Starting in July, Full Tilt will offer sponsorship contracts to the best players (by performance) in various disciplines including, but not limited to, cash games, sit and gos, and multi-table tournaments. Every six months, these contracts will transfer to the players with the best results over the previous six months.
“Over the next few weeks we will be reaching out to the poker community to help us design these performance metrics”, said Sarne Lightman, head of marketing at Full Tilt. “We want the players who will be competing for sponsorship to design the measurement systems for their performance, and we will then reward the best players.”
Full Tilt is also offering a “VIP Amnesty” to all players throughout April, giving players an opportunity to apply the status they’ve earned on other sites toward the equivalent status under the Full Tilt loyalty program.
“We understand that players have put many hours, weeks and sometimes months into earning their VIP status on other sites while unable to play on Full Tilt Poker.” Lightman continued. “The amnesty will allow them to trial our Edge Rewards and Black Card programs at the equivalent level and see for themselves the superior benefits their play level offers at Full Tilt Poker.”
To do this, you need to send photographic evidence of your VIP status from another site (the screenshot must include your username) and your Full Tilt username to BlackCard@fulltiltpoker.com. Your Full Tilt account will then be upgraded to the equivalent Edge Status. If you maintain the play levels, then you may be upgraded to Black Card member status once the Black Card level is live.
Players who maintain Black Card status for three months will receive an actual Black Card from Full Tilt.
